The Birth of Jesus Christ

In the small Jewish town of Nazareth, a girl lived. Her name was Maria.

나자렛의 작은 유대인 동네에 한 소녀가 살았습니다. 그녀의 이름은 마리아였습니다.

 

 

One day the Lord sent an angel to Mary. Entering the girl, the angel said to her:

어느날 주께서 천사를 마리아에게 보냈습니다. 그 소녀에게 들어가 천사는 그녀에게 말했습니다:

• Rejoice, Maria! The Lord has chosen you from all women on earth! Soon you will have a son who will become King of Israel, Call Him Jesus, He will be God's Son, and His Kingdom will never come to an end.

기뻐하라 마리아여! 주님은 지상의 모든 여성중 그대를 선택하셨도다! 그대는 곧 이스라엘의 왕이될 아들을 갖게 될 것이오. 그를 예수라 부르시오. 그는 하느님의 아들이며 그의 왕국은 결코 끝나지 않을 것이오.

 

Maria was very surprised, but accepted God's will willingly.

마리아는 매우 놀랐지만 하느님의 뜻을 기꺼이 받아들였습니다.

 

Mary had a fiance, a carpenter named Joseph. He was originally from Bethlehem. Soon she married him. But one day they had to leave Nazareth and go to Bethlehem: the king ordered to rewrite all those who live in the country, and Joseph should be enrolled in his hometown.

마리아에게 약혼자, 요셉이라는 목수가 있었습니다. 그는 원래 베들레헴 출신이었습니다. 그녀는 그와 곧 결혼했습니다. 그러나 어느날 그들은 나사렛을 떠나 베들레헴으로 가야했습니다. 왕은 그 나라에 사는 모든 사람들에게 다시 쓰라고 명령했습니다. 요셉은 그의 고향에서 등록해야 했습니다.

 

When they came, it turned out that the hotels did not have a place and they had nowhere to stay for the night. And the child is now the time to be born. Joseph and Mary managed to find shelter only in the stable. There Jesus was born, the Savior of the world. There was no cradle in the crib, so Mary, wrapping her son, put Him in a cattle feeder.

그들이 베들레헴으로 왔을 때 호텔에는 자리가 없었고 그들은 그날밤 아무데도 묵을 곳이 없었습니다. 그리고 아이는 이제 태어날 때가 되었습니다. 요셉과 마리아는 마굿간에서만 피신처를 찾을 수 있었습니다. 그곳에서 세상의 구세주, 예수님이 탄생하셨습니다. 아기침대에는 요람이 없어서, 마리아는 아기를 싸서 구유에 뉘었습니다.
