An estimated two million people gathered in Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires to celebrate the country's World Cup win over France. Argentina captain Lionel Messi will end his World Cup career as a tournament champion, following what some are calling ‘the best final ever’. Argentina won 4-2 on penalties, following the match ending 3-3 after extra time. The South American team have now won the prestigious tournament three times, the last in 1986.
