Canelo vs Golovkin: Round 12 of 12

Here we go then, final round! Most seem to think Canelo is significantly ahead, though Golovkin has certainly won the second half of this fight.

There are boos from the crowd, who expected another war in the trilogy bout. The 12th, as has been the case at times throughout, is scrappy.

There's an embrace as the final bell goes. We go to the scorecards...

Canelo vs Golovkin: Round 11 of 12

Canelo has a slight cut from the clash of heads, but it's nothing too significant as of yet.

The Mexican's pace has definitely dropped over the last few rounds, after what was a very comfortably opening.

Golovkin lands a short left-hook during the clinch, and he's definitely more in this now.

Our reporter Jeff Powell has it 5-5 with one round drawn. Into the final round we go...

Canelo vs Golovkin: Round 10 of 12

The good work from GGG continues as he starts round 10 with a left hook that lands, but that success is short lived as Canelo buzzes his rival with a huge shot.

Canelo then lands a grazing uppercut - not quite a clean connection but a scoring shot nonetheless.

But back comes GGG! He lands an uppercut of his own before tripling up the jab. Good work. An accidental clash of heads ends round 10. Is GGG starting to step it up?

Our reporter Jeff Powell has it 5-4 Canelo, with one scored a draw.

Hello and welcome!

A huge night of boxing action is upon us, as Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin complete their iconic trilogy in Las Vegas.

The once amicable sparring partners are now bitter enemies having shared the ring on two prior occasions, both ending in highly contentious results.

First, Canelo escaped with a split-decision draw, despite the vast majority of onlookers believing Golovkin was the rightful winner. The second saw Canelo take a majority-decision win, when again many believe GGG deserved it.

Now, four years after their rematch, the pair return to the T-Mobile Arena, this time with the undisputed super-middleweight championship on the line.

Don’t go anywhere as we build towards the main-event, which is up shortly.
